Winter Weather Advisory for everyone south of a line from Manistee to Cadillac for Thursday, Thursday night, and Friday morning. Ice will be the story. It might accumulate on roads and power lines. They'll get a mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow.
The rest of northern Michigan will have a partly sunny, dry day on Thursday.
Thursday night...we all need to be alert. Rain, freezing rain, snow, and sleet will move across the entire region. So any of us may see slippery roads.
F rom Newberry westward across Upper Peninsula, a Winter Storm Watch is issued starting Thursday night and thru the day Friday. Near Newberry up to 6 inches of snow are possible. Way out west toward the Wisconsin state line...up to 15 inches of snow may fall!
Friday night as temperatures fall...snow showers are expected to move thru the entire region, and they will linger into Saturday.
Wind will get your attention, too. At times thru Saturday we'll get gusts over 25 mph.
If you are wondering what happened to spring...it'll be back Sunday. Look for a light wind, lots of sun, and highs in the 40s.
