Here's an update...the warning and advisory areas have changed.
Friday morning most of the Lower Peninsula will be under a Winter Weather Advisory. Look out for slippery road conditions. Any rain that falls could freeze onto roads or power lines. Conditions will improve as the temperatures rise in the afternoon.
All of the
Upper Peninsula is now looking at a Winter Storm Warning for Friday and Friday night. In the eastern end of the Upper Peninsula, look for up to 6 inches of snow...and westward toward Marquette up to 16 inches are expected with this storm thru Friday evening.
As the storm moves away from us and the temperature falls, Friday night and Saturday morning light snow showers are possible anywhere in northern Michigan. Sunday...sunshine!
Most highs Friday and Saturday will stay in the 30s. On Sunday we're expecting highs in the 40s.
Wind will gust over 25 on Friday and over 30 at times Friday night and Saturday. It will be light on Sunday.
