Winter Weather Advisory overnight and through the day Wednesday in the Upper Peninsula. Up to 6 inches of heavy, wet snow is possible...plus, some freezing rain and sleet could be mixed in.
In the Lower Peninsula tonight it could turn icy in your home town. The farther north you are, the more likely you will see a mix of rain, freezing rain, snow, and sleet. And the farther south you are where it will be a little warmer, rain is more likely.
Wednesday morning...especially early when it's colder...look out for slippery roads wherever you are anywhere in northern Michigan. Temperatures will climb above freezing for a few hours, so in the L.P. look for rain, and in the U.P. look for wet snow.
In the late afternoon and evening on Wednesday as temperatures fall, we all have a chance for snow. Even Thursday AM you might see some snow as the storm moves away from us. By Thursday afternoon, the sun will start to break thru the clouds.
Wind. It will be turn to the southwest Wednesday, and Wednesday night thru Thursday it will come from the northwest. Mostly light, but at times it will gust over 20 miles per hour.
