A Cheboygan woman is facing felony assault charges after an argument with her boyfriend turned violent.
According to the Cheboygan District Court, Natasha Pitkavish is facing a felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence.
Prosecuting Attorney Daryl P. Vizina said Pitkavish and her boyfriend got into an argument at their home in the City of Cheboygan on Wednesday.
Vizina said the boyfriend was holding a glass jar when Pitkavish hit it with a pair of hedge clippers she was holding, cutting the man badly. Pitkavish admitted to police what happened.
She is now facing a maximum of four years for the incident.
A $5,000 bond was set. At this time, Pitkavish remains in the Cheboygan County Jail.
She is scheduled to be in court next on April 24.
