Woman in mask holds up business at gunpoint

Aaron Scott was charged with driving with a suspended license and two drug charges.

A downstate woman is behind bars in Isabella County, charged with robbing an insurance agency at gunpoint.

Investigators say the woman, Candy Pahl was wearing a mask, sunglasses and a hat. She walked into PLPD Inc. on N. Mission Street in Mount Pleasant Monday. Pahl demanded money from the clerk after showing she had a gun.

After the suspect left the building, the clerk was able to get a description of the vehicle and the direction of travel.

Police pulled over the car a short time later and found evidence of the robbery.

Pahl, 42, of Lansing, was arrested and will be charged with armed robbery, carrying a dangerous weapon, felony firearm and carrying and concealing a dangerous weapon. 43-year-old Aaron Scott, also of Lansing, was also arrested for driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance and receiving and concealing property between $1,000 and $2,000.
