A Montmorency County woman who neglected 43 animals has been sentenced to three years of probation.
35-year-old Jennifer Tucker-Richard was arrested in January after deputies seized dozens of animals from her home.
A judge ruled that if Tucker-Richard violates her probation, she will be forced to spend six months in jail.
The judge also ruled that she will not be allowed to own or possess any kind of animal for the rest of her life.
The neglected animals were housed at the Elk Country Animal Shelter. Employees there were overwhelmed with requests for adoption.
