A Cadillac man is in critical condition after hitting a cement beam with his vehicle while going the wrong way on U.S. 131 in Wexford County.
Police were called to the single-car crash Thursday at 4:15 a.m. on northbound U.S. 131.
Investigators say Jordan Hendrix, 20, was traveling southbound in the northbound lane and hit the bridge abutment at the Crosby Road overpass head on.
Hendrix was the only person in the vehicle and had to be extricated with the jaws of life. He was taken to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
The crash is still being investigated by the Michigan State Police.
