The classroom salute for Wednesday, October 16th, is Mr. Randall's Senior-level Agriscience Class at Ellsworth Community Schools.
The senior-level class is 10th-12th graders.
Ellsworth schools built the hoop house last year, and the students started all of the plants last spring. They have vegetables, including tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, spinach, and brussel sprouts, etc. that they've sold at local farmer's markets, local restaurants, and school lunches. They have also sold a lot of the flower baskets too.
Mr. Randall emphasized how the students spent a lot of time not just growing the vegetables, but learning all of the science, biology, chemistry, and math behind it.
Thank you so much for letting us visit (and for letting Thomas and I totally nerd-out!) and hopefully you had a wonderful Wednesday at school!
