The 56th annual Mackinaw Bridge walk had thousands of people lining up this morning to start Labor Day off on the right foot.
7&4's Nathan Edwards was there all morning and spoke with several people getting ready to cross the bridge for the first, second, forty-third time. An estimated 40 thousand people came out to walk the 5 miles across the bridge to St. Ignace.
To give you an idea of how long it takes to make the trip, last year it took Governor Rick Snyder 1 hour and 3 minutes and he was at the front of the pack. For most people it may take a bit longer.
