After being completely destroyed by fire one local restaurant is re-building quickly.
Patty Cakes Bakery in Buckley went up in flames on March 3, 2014 - but today, a new building stands in its place.
Owner Craig Kellogg says he and his wife made the building six hundred square feet bigger. This will serve to have a better designed kitchen layout. The dining room set up will remain the same, and the menu will have a few additions.
The outside concrete has been stamped and stained, and benches and flowers will be put out for the opening. The inside concrete floor will be stained to look like a marble countertop.
As of Wednesday, crews were working to finish some roof work and working on the hood for the stove. Insulation will go in Monday and the drywall will be done Tuesday.
The Kelloggs hope to open the third week of August in time for the Old Engine Show.
