Ceremonies pay tribute to law enforcement officers
Law enforcement agencies statewide are holding events to mark National Police Week.
The Crawford County Sheriff's Office is holding a ceremony in honor of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The memorial will take place at noon in the parking lot of the Sheriff's Office in Grayling.
In Traverse City a ceremony will pay tribute to the memory of lost police officers and reserve officers. The service will start at 1pm in front of the Governmental Center.
State officers killed in the line of duty are among those honored by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. It held a vigil Monday at its memorial wall in Washington, D.C.
