      Chef Phil tempts us with Tempura Asparagus

      Chef Phill Murray makes Tempura Asparagus.

      In this week's edition of Cooking with Phil, Chef Phil Murray makes Tempura Asparagus with honey balsamic dressing.

      Tempura Asparagus Ingredients:

      12-16 stalks of asparagus

      1 cup of tempura batter (mix available at local gourmet store)

      1 cup canola oil


      Heat a 10 inch skillet to 350 degrees.

      Marinate asparagus in batter.

      Place asparagus in hot oil and fry for 2 minutes or until crispy.

      Honey Balsamic Dressing Ingredients:

      1 whole egg

      1 cup canola oil

      1/4 cup balsamic vinegar (or to taste)

      1/4 cup natural honey (or to taste)


      Whip egg slowly add oil to make mayonnaise.

      Add vinegar and honey, season with salt and pepper.
