Cleaning up the trails for Earth Day

Dozens of volunteers or "T.A.R.T. Trail Worker Bees" braved the cold and snow Saturday to celebrate Earth Day by giving back.

They met at several trail locations armed with brooms and trash bags to clean up the trails for those who love to spend time on them.

Organizers say it's great to see all the volunteers step up and take pride in making the community a better place.

"It's just easier for people who are biking, and walking to have clear visibility when their on the trail," said Sandi McArthur, of Oryana Natural Foods Market, and captain for the Boardman Trail clean up.

T.A.R.T. Trail officials are asking you to mark your calendars for Saturday May, 18th for the annual Tails to Trails 5K run and walk. For more information, click here.
