      Cooking with Phil: Create and artful salad with a medley of hot and cold ingredients!

      Chef Phil Murray, Owner of Phil's on Front in Traverse City, has lots of menu items for everyone. Today Phil creates a salad made from local produce!

      Phil is helping you create some of his favorite dishes in your own kitchen every Thursday morning on 7&4 News Today. Phil's on Front is located at 236 East Front Street.

      Ingredients for Phil's "Loma Farms Salad:"

      Loma Farms Salad

      1 head of Radicchio lettuce

      1 Scottish sweet onion

      3 baby cucumbers

      1 head fennel

      Olive oil/balsamic vinegar

      How to make it:

      Place large Lettuce leaves on platter, then Julienne the remainder of the lettuce and place in bowl. Slice cucumbers thinly and add to the lettuce, mix olive oil /balsamic vinegar with lettuce/cucumbers before you set them aside.

      Peel onion slices in circles, slice fennel paper thin, Saute onions and fennel in olive oil for 5 minutes. Combine your warm ingredients with the salad mixture and Bon Appetite!
