Dance Battle 4 the Cure benefitting the American Cancer Society this weekend

Joedy Annis started the Dance Battle 4 the Cure about 2 years ago.

For those of us who love to dance, this event is all about dancing to give back to the American Cancer Society.

Joedy Annis, inspired by her love of dance, started the Dance Battle 4 the Cure to raise money for the American Cancer Society. After losing a family member to cancer, she wanted a way to remember their legacy while having fun and dancing.

The dance battle is a friendly competition for group and individuals to showcase their dance skills while raising money for cancer research.

The dance battle is Saturday, March 8th at 6 PM at the Lars Hockstad auditorium in Central Grade School in Traverse City. It's $10 to be a dancer and only $5 to watch.

For $10 you can bring a picture of a loved one who is battling or has lost the fight with cancer and have it displayed during the show.
