Festival-goers will see minor changes to schedule of events

The first ever night-time air show has been moved up to10 p.m. on Saturday.

The 87th annual National Cherry Festival will kick off Saturday with some high-energy events.

For the first time, there will be two air shows on Saturday - including one at dusk. The night-time performers include Team AeroShell, Team Aerodynamix and Matt Younkin. This show, originally scheduled for 10:30 p.m., will now take place at 10:00 p.m.

Before the first ever night-time air show, Styx will take the stage at the Open Space. The Styx show will be moved up in time as well, with the classic rockers taking the stage at 8:30.

"By moving the show time up by one half hour, we're assured that we can showcase all three acts to their fullest capability," said Trevor Tkach, Executive Director of the Cherry Festival.
