Film Festival's Lifetime Achievement Award

Michael Moore announces the Traverse City Film Festival's Lifetime Achievement Award winner for 2013.

The Film Festival is honoring British Director Michael Apted. Apted directed such films as "Coal Miner's Daughter" and the Film Festival is highlighting Apted's documentaries titled "7 Up" Series.

Apted started following a group of children when they were 7-years-old and continued to meet up with them every seven years through adulthood. The group is now 56-years-old.

The series is being shown at Dutmers Auditorium starting with "7 Up" at 3pm Friday, followed by "21 Up" at 6pm and "28 Up" at 9pm. The series continues Saturday with "34 Up" at 9am, "42 Up" at noon and "49 Up" at 3pm. A premiere of the latest film "56 Up" will take place at the State Theatre at 6pm Saturday.
