A little yellow house in is being given away to whoever wants it, as long as they pay to have it moved.
Dave Steffay owns the yellow strip mall on 14th Street in Traverse City and the little yellow house next to it. There isn't anything wrong with the house but at this point, Steffay would rather have the space for parking than the house, which he does not live in.
Instead of just having it demolished Steffay is giving it away for free but it cannot stay in it's current location. Whoever takes the house will have to pay to have it moved somewhere else.
"Rather than being put into a landfill, why can't we recycle the house?" Steffay said. "If somebody can get some use out of this somehow, it needs work and it costs money to move the house, but it is free for the taking."
Steffay suggests it would make a nice cottage in the Upper Peninsula. For more information on the house, you can call Dave at 231-499-0576.
