The United States Postal Service will be ending some operations at it's Gaylord Branch.
A spokesperson for the USPS confirmed today that they are consolidating the processing operations with Traverse City beginning on Saturday.
The Gaylord Post Office will still be available for mailing items and buying stamps, but there will be no more mail sorting.
Employees were notified last year of the change. They are able to transfer to another position with the Postal Service.
Mail delivery service should not be affected for those in the area.
