Graceland Fruit brings new job opportunities to Frankfort
Great news for Northern Michiganders searching for a job - Graceland Fruit in Frankfort is expanding and looking to hire.
Graceland Fruit is a dried-fruit producer that sells to multiple different companies in many countries, and they are increasing production.
The company is already at full capacity and has a continually growing demand for their dried cherries, blueberries, cranberries, and apples.
In trying to set up another production line, they're looking to fill 35 full-time positions as soon as possible. The positions will be primarily manufacturing positions - people are needed in packaging and also in the drying facility.
"This is an exciting time because not only are we adding these full time positions, but these are opportunities for growth as well," said Brent Bradley, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Graceland Fruit. "And I think for every position we add, some of that we're putting to work in the community- we bring in employees from a 5 county region so its pretty exciting for the whole region, not just Frankfort."
The first job fair will be held in Traverse City October 25th from 9am -1pm at the Manpower Office at 3135 Logan Valley Road. Some production experience is preferred, but not required. Applicants should have at least a high-school diploma and be able to start shift work immediately.
