The holiday season is in full swing and on Friday evening hundreds of people braved the cold weather to celebrate in Petoskey and Traverse City with some Christmas festivities.
Folks took over Front Street in Traverse City as everyone anxiously waited for Santa Clause to arrive and light the Christmas tree. After he arrived, there was live music, ice sculpting demonstrations, jugglers, fire dancers, and much more. Kids also got a chance to meet Santa at his brand new house on State Street.
Hundred's more packed into Pennsylvania Park in Petoskey awaiting another appearance from Santa who lit their tree too. Merchants opened their doors to offer warm holiday greetings while others enjoyed entertainment in the streets with carolers and the Petoskey High School Steel Drum Band.
