Mackinaw City casino hearing delayed
The Village of Mackinaw City has rescheduled a public hearing regarding construction of a multi-million dollar casino.
The hearing will now take place on April 23 at 7 p.m. at the Mackinaw City High School.
The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians plans to build the casino just off of I-75. The casino will have more than 500 slot machines and a restaurant. It would cost the tribe about $26 million to build and would bring new jobs to the area.
