If getting dirty, sweaty, and throwing back a frosty brew with your friends is your thing - head to Mt. Holiday Saturday for the fifth annual Mud, Sweat, and Beers Fat Tire Fest 2013 event.
It's a partnership between Bill Marsh and Mount Holiday that began as a group of friends getting together for fun. But rather than have that be the only goal, they decided to ride to support a local non-profit ski hill and recreation area.
Saturday at Mt. Holiday includes multiple races to accomodate hundreds of riders of all ages and skill levels. There are different lengths and kinds of mountain bike trails and new this year - Jeep runs.
Also new this year is the menu and Right Brain Brewery is bringing new and different beer.
Michelle Konstanzer, the Food and Beverage Director, said, "This is just huge to us because we're not corporate, we're not sponsored by anybody - this is all community volunteers - and that is what helps make us that much more special."
All of the event proceeds go to Mt. Holiday. Although the races are already full, you're encouraged to still come out and enjoy some great food and drinks, and cheer on the riders.
