New book gives look into life of Traverse City's "Founding Father"
A new book has just been published giving more details about Perry Hannah, a man who many consider to be Traverse City's founding father.
The book, "Perry Hannah's Gifts: Then and Now," was co-authored by Peg Jonkhoff and Fred Hoisington. The book features hundreds of color photos of Hannah's mansion on Sixth Street, now the site of the Reynolds-Jonkhoff funeral home.
There will be book signings by Jonkhoff and Hoisington in costume around the area with 100% of the proceeds going towards the creation of a bronze statue of Perry Hannah to be placed in Hannah Park.
