Power outage keeps Ferris State closed again today

Ferris State University has extended a partial class cancellation through today due to continuing problems due to a power outage.

Ferris State University has extended a partial class cancellation through today due to continuing problems with a power outage. The school cancelled classes and activities yesterday at the Big Rapids campus and have now cancelled some classes today as well. Ferris State has cancelled classes held at the Allied Health and Optometry building, Creative Arts Center and the Hospitality Management program at West Commons.

Ferris State says classes normally held at Bishop Hall and the Pharmacy building will shift to other classrooms on campus. A cause for the outage has not been determined, but the University said it is related to an issue with the Ferris power grid. All other activities are expected to continue as scheduled.
