Spring break program benefits at-risk kids
Spring break gives students the chance to get away and relax, but not every family can afford to go on vacation.
Thatâ??s why the Maritime Heritage Alliance teamed up with Child and Family Services to give at-risk kids the chance to learn new skills like teamwork and leadership.
â??We are building three standup paddle boards of course...but the goal is we can also build self confidence for these kidsâ?¦and its an opportunity for them to stay busy and do something constructive while school is out,â?? said Rorke Miller, Maritime Heritage Alliance.
