A local northern Michigan woman has been making her own pinatas for years, and recently made them available to the rest of the world. Renay Durrance didn't like the store bought pinata she got for her son's birthday so she decided to make her own.
Durrance can make pretty much any pinata someone can dream up, and she makes them out of recyclable materials. Each pinata comes empty so it can be filled with whatever suits the occasion. Prices range from $40 and up depending on how intricate each pinata is.
Custom Pinatas will be on display and for sale this weekend at the Kalkaska Trout Festival and you can contact Renay at firstname.lastname@example.org.
