â??The Christmas Journeyâ?? takes visitors to biblical times
New Hope Community Church is hoping to provide northern Michigan with a unique experience this holiday season.
The Williamsburg church is bringing back 'The Christmas Journey', a live, 45-minute interactive story of Christmas and the Old Testament.
The event features live animals, such as camels, llamas and goats.
â??You're going to come with an expectation, but you're going to leave with an experience, and I'll guarantee you that,â?? said Ed Blackburn, The Christmas Journey Director. â??People are taken aback after they get into it and they get involved. You really forget the outside world; you travel back to that period of time."
Tickets are available for three dollars on New Hope's website or at the event.
All proceeds go toward building new schools in Guatemala.
The Christmas Journey runs for the next two weekends, with the last showing on December 14th.
