Do you ever stop and think about the amount of sugar you eat in one day? You probably don't actually realize how much sugar goes into a 20 ounce pop or even the amount of sugar in a power bar.
Registered dietician, Jen May with Creekside Clinic in Traverse City, went through various types of drinks and foods that people eat on an average day and how much sugar content each item contains. May says even if something is low-fat or seems healthy, the sugar content might be very high. Plus, if something has too much sugar, then a person's body can produce too much insulin.
