It's officially Spring Break for schools in Northern Michigan, and the State Theatre is celebrating by offering a week-long movie marathon.

The free movies kicked off on Friday and will continue until next Friday.

You can see movies like The Hobbit, The Hunger Games, Forest Gump, The Twilight Saga, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Anchorman.

"It's part of our charter," says House Manager, Lois Mainz. "Our mission as a non-profit here in Traverse City. We're a resource for the community and this is just one of the ways that we give back to the community and the families, and our neighbors around town, and our nearby communities."

The State Theatre in Traverse City recommends getting tickets ahead of time because a lot of these shows will be sold out, and seating is limited. You cannot order tickets online, but you can purchase them at the ticket center, or by phone.
