Winter blast creates mess for drivers

All the snow and high winds on Monday created some dangerous conditions for drivers. Slippery roads and poor visibility kept road crews and tow trucks very busy.

7&4's Kate Fox spent Monday night out in the elements and brings us a look at what drivers were facing.

Owner of Brickyard Towing Greg Nienhouse says, "We had a multiple car accidents out by Chums Corner area. A pick-up truck lost control, went into on-coming traffic and side-swiped another pick up truck."

Jim Valade from the Grand Traverse County Road Commission says, "We started out at 5:00am this morning. We had a full call out. We are doing everything we can today to prep roads for tonight."
