It's hardly a rarity to see a seagull on a summer day in northern Michigan, but one Petoskey couple found a seagull that will make you double take.
A pink seagull was seen hanging out on Sheridan Road in Petoskey.
Barbara and Louis Fochtman saw the bird roaming around on their driveway Sunday morning, and then a few days later at the cemetery near their home.
The couple said the bird had a very natural coloring and didn't seem to be covered with paint.
"I looked out here in the middle of the driveway and there was this beautiful pink seagull," Barbara Fochtman said. "We took a second look because it was really shocking. I'll tell you, he was such a brilliant pink."
The couple said they haven't seen the vibrant bird in a couple of days, but friends of theirs said the seagull has been spotted in a nearby park.
