House approves bill to let some carry in gun-free zones

The Michigan House has voted to let prosecutors, corrections officers and certain retired law enforcement officers carry concealed weapons in gun-free zones.

The Michigan House has voted to let prosecutors, corrections officers and certain retired law enforcement officers carry concealed weapons in gun-free zones.

Supporters say legislation approved Tuesday and headed to the Senate is needed because the individuals have a greater risk of being harmed by people seeking retribution.
