Traverse City Commissioners will be discussing the candidates for the City Manager position tonight.
Fifty-five resumes were received for the job, and tonight, City Commissioners will select which candidates they will be pursuing.
Around 10 candidates will be chosen, but that number may be refined after tonight's meeting.
Commissioners hope to have an offer out by the end of May, with the new City Manager starting at the end of June when the current City Manager leaves.
The majority of the 55 candidates are from out-of-state. The only local candidate is from Benzonia.
Current City Manager Ben Bifoss announced his retirement in January, after serving as City Manager for four years.
He is scheduled to work through June 28.
The job was posted nationally, with a salary ranging between $100,000 and $120,000.
