Gregg Langbehn is moving up to the Cleveland Indians. Langbehn will be in charge of the brand new instant replay system for the Indians that is taking place this season in Major League Baseball and will be telling Manager Terry Francona and bench coach Brad Mills when to challenge and when not to.
Langbehn got his start with the Beach Bums in November 2008 after working as a coach and manager in the Houston Astros organization. During his five seasons as manager of the Beach Bums he compiled a record of 267-212. He coached more games and has won games more than any other manager in Beach Bums history, while leading the team to 3 playoff appearances including a trip to the 2010 Championship series.
In 2012, Langbehn led Traverse City to the club's best ever record and the third most wins in Frontier League history with a 64-32 record earning honors as the 2012 Frontier League manager of the year. After all of his success he is very thankful for the opportunity and community.
