Bums blast three bombs, fall 7-6

The Traverse City Beach Bums tied a season-high with three home runs, but the River City Rascals notched a run in the top of the ninth inning to escape with a 7-6 victory on Thursday night at Wuerfel Park.

In the bottom of the ninth, Jeff DeBlieux launched a two-out solo homer to claw the Bums to within one. It was DeBlieux's third homer of the year.

Jovan Rosa got a run in the bottom of the frame for the Beach Bums, blasting a solo shot, his third, to make it 3-1. Greg Harisis cut the lead to 6-5 in the last of the seventh inning with a solo homer, his second of the year, but the Bums couldn't catch up to take the win. The rookie outfielder finished 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored, and an RBI on the night.
