First round picks developing with Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings began hosting their 2014 Development Camp on Friday at Centre ICE Arena.

Dozens of young prospects will be in attendance hoping to hone their craft so that one day they will get a chance to wear red and white. Two of the highest profiled players in the group include 2013 first round draft pick Anthony Mantha and 2014 first round draft pick Dylan Larkin.

Mantha is expected to contend for a spot on the roster at training camp in September while Larkin will be heading to Ann Arbor to play hockey for the University of Michigan.
