KISS wishes Cadillac football luck in playoffs
The famous band KISS posted a special message for the Cadillac High School football team on their Facebook page.
They posted the message "Good luck to our friends, the Cadillac HS Football team as they play their 3rd playoff game tonight. They are 12-0 so far this year! We go way back!"
To be noted, the Vikings are actually 11-0 on the season, but maybe the legendary rockers are psychics too.
The Vikings and the KISS' relationship dates back to 1974 when a coach on the staff started playing KISS music in the locker room to motivate the players after a tough start to the season.
According to the Detroit Free Press, the coach got in touch with the legendary band and started a connection that eventually led to a visit in 1975 when the band was performing in Michigan.
The band visited the school, posed for photos and performed for about 2,000 people, the Free Press said.
The Vikings head to Comstock Park Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the Division 4 regional final.
