NBC to take over part of NASCAR TV package in 2014

The world of racing will soon be returning to TV 7&4 and NBC Sports.

NASCAR will return to NBC in 2015, ending its eight-year partnership with both ESPN and Turner Sports.

They announced a 10-year deal with NBC on Tuesday that gives the network the final 20 Sprint Cup races of the season, and the final 19 Nationwide Series races.

NBC will share the 38-race NASCAR schedule with Fox, which extended its contract with NASCAR last year. Turner currently has six races on the schedule, and ESPN carries 17 events. ESPN picks up its portion of the schedule this weekend at Indianapolis.

You can catch all the results of the big NASCAR races every Sunday on 7&4 News at 11.
