Glenn Robinson III scored 33 points on 12-of-15 shooting and Michigan won its exhibition opener, 117-44 over Concordia on Tuesday night.

The Wolverines never trailed, went on a 27-2 run midway through the first half and had a 60-19 halftime lead in their first game since losing to Louisville in the NCAA title game.

Keith Appling had 17 points and all kinds of help as Michigan State beat Grand Valley State 101-52 in an exhibition opener Tuesday night.

Appling, who led the Spartans in scoring and assists last season, was 6 for 9 from the field including making 5 of 7 from 3-point range to show an improved outside stroke. Coach Tom Izzo's other perimeter players contributed to a 14-for-24 effort beyond the arc.
