Soccer will be the name of the game this weekend in Grand Traverse County as part of the Cherry Capital Cup.
An annual event held at the Traverse Bay Area Youth Soccer fields will draw thousands of people to town over the next few days. 200 soccer teams from across the state of Michigan will take part as well as a few from Canada.
Five to six thousand people are expected to come into the area over the next few days and that brings in big dollars to not just Traverse City but several surrounding locations.
Games will be held all day Saturday and Sunday with some teams potentially playing up to five times over the course of the weekend.
