Washington walks over Traverse City, 15-8
The Washington Wild Things scored 10 consecutive runs over three at-bats, culminated by a seven-run fifth inning and walked away with a 15-8 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums on Tuesday night at Wuerfel Park.
Traverse City pitching continued to struggle throwing strikes, issuing a season-high 10 walks in addition to hitting two batters on the night. Of the 12 free baserunners allowed, eight of them came around to score for the Wild Things.
Traverse City will look to snap its three-game losing streak on Wednesday night.
