Two northern Michigan schools are joining together to help raise money for a local basketball coach who was diagnosed with throat cancer.
Former Charlevoix varsity boys basketball coach and current Traverse City St. Francis coach Keith Haske is in Houston, Texas this summer receiving treatment.
Both the Rayders and Gladiators are coming together to help cover some of his medical costs by hosting an alumni basketball game involving both schools as well as Haske's alma mater St. Johns this Sunday at Charlevoix High School. In addition to the game at 1pm there will be lunch, a bake sale and a silent auction.
If you would like to learn more you can visit the game's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/675972675806293/) or for any questions you can contact Charlevoix's girls basketball coach Liz Shaw at firstname.lastname@example.org.
