Gladiators back to business in postseason

Its hard to get much more consistent on the football field than Traverse City St. Francis was in making the football playoffs 22 straight seasons from 1990 to 2011. That streak came to an end last year but now its back to familiar territory for one of the most successful programs in the area.

Don't let the 5-4 record this year fool you. The Gladiators have been battle tested, facing seven playoff teams in the past nine weeks. Along the way they defeated both the Northwest Conference Champion Glen Lake Lakers and the Lake Michigan Conference Champion Grayling Vikings.

Coach Greg Vaughan said it was a very special night watching the Selection Sunday show with his boys but now its on to preparation for tough Iron River West team that finished the season undefeated.
