Inland Lakes blanks Kalamazoo Christian to return to softball state finals
EAST LANSING, Mich (WPBN/WGTU) -- Its no surprise to see the Inland Lakes softball team in the state finals after defeating Kalamazoo Christian 9-0 in a Division 4 semifinal on Friday morning.
After all, the Bulldogs were in the state title game a year ago and have been ranked #1 all spring in the Division 4 coaches polls.
The Ski Valley champs jumped all over the Comets with a 3-0 lead after the top of the first. From there Madison Milner and McKayla Henckel hit home runs in the 5th and 7th innings to lead the ladies to the eventual 9-0 win.
Inland Lakes will now play in the Division 4 state championship game on Saturday at 3 p.m.
