Lady Lakers making golf history

The Glen Lake girls golf team is making quite an impression on their school's history with the start to their 2013 season.

Glen Lake High School is known for its success in football, basketball and baseball the past few years. But its the ladies on the golf course that may be outperforming them all.

To start the year, they set an 18-hole team record shooting a combined 398 at the Lober Classic in Traverse City. They then demolished that record at the Grayling Invitational a week later by 41 strokes in shooting a combined 357.

They are paced on the greens by a newcomer, freshman Nichole Cox but head coach Paul Christiansen says its a group effort thats paying off on the scorecard.
