Stags' thrower signs with Davenport
Kingsley Area senior Molly Franke has signed her national letter of intent to throw at Davenport University next spring.
Molly qualified to throw either shot put or discuss at the division 3 state championship meet all 4 years of high school. Her final year she walked away with the most decoration, state champion in the discus with a throw 122' 11". Molly was also this seasons "point champion", having earned the most points toward the team score of anyone this season.
Franke has not only excelled on the field, but off as well. She will graduate from Kingsley having participated in student council, National Honor Society, volunteer club, volleyball, basketball, and track. Molly has done all of this while maintaining above a 3.3 GPA.
Molly says she is excited to take this next step in her playing career, but chose Davenport because of their strong nursing program. She plans to get a bachelor of science in nursing and become a registered nurse.
