Shelli Adamczyk is the bureau reporter/multi-media journalist located south of Traverse City in Manistee, Michigan. She will be reporting out of the historic Vogue Theatre in downtown Manistee and is excited to join the 7&4 and 29&8 team as well as the community!
Shelli comes back to the frozen tundra from WACH Fox in Columbia, South Carolina. While in the Palmetto State she reported on many well known controversies and tragic events such as the shooting death of nine patrons in Mother Emanuel AME Church, the removal of the Confederate flag from South Carolina State House grounds, Hurricane Matthew clean-up, and historic flooding that left hundreds without homes.
While in Columbia, Shelli also worked with law enforcement as well as local, state and national organizations and politicians, reporting on human trafficking, animal cruelty and domestic violence.
Prior to moving to the South in 2014, the born and raised Wisconsinite worked as a sports photographer at WEAU-TV in Eau Claire, Wisconsin for a short time after graduating with a bachelor's degree in Journalism Broadcast from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
When she’s not out covering stories, Shelli loves hiking, fishing, and spending time with friends and her Australian Shepherd, Rylee. Even though she is now a resident of the state across the lake, the “cheese-head” remains a Green Bay Packer fan!
As a new member of the WPBN/WGTU team and a passionate journalist, Shelli hopes to quickly get to know people in the community and continue to story tell and inform the public. She encourages anyone with story ideas or tips to contract her through email or social media, or if you see her around town to say hello!
