GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The northwest region of the lower peninsula is one of the fastest aging populations in Michigan.
The Grand Traverse Pavilions is celebrating its 20th anniversary of providing senior care in the Grand Traverse area.
The Pavilions campus includes 240 licensed nursing beds, 78 assisted living apartments and three independent living apartments.
It offers everything from independent or assisted living to specialized elder and dementia care.
Adult day care and respite care is also available.
As for the future of the Pavilions, staff members say they're working on being able to offer services to more low-income, high-risk elderly adults in the area.
The effort is called Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly, or PACE. More information about PACE is available on the Grand Traverse Pavilions website.
