Go for the Gold Pin Program drawing held on last day of Cherry Fest

Three lucky people went home winners at the end of the National Cherry Festival Saturday.

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Three lucky people ended their trip to the National Cherry Festival with some great prizes.

The drawing for the Go for the Gold Pin Program was held Saturday night.

This year, 1,6000 of the 20,000 festival pins were gold.

Ten were drawn and the contestants were each given a key to try and unlock the car.

The final three were each given an envelope with their prize.

The first place winner received a two-year lease on a 2018 Toyota Camry.

Second place won two United Airlines tickets and third place won a TV from Best Buy.
